KITS,Coimbatore, Admission:Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences was started in 1986 to train skilled professionals and leaders who care about serving others. It became an independent university in 1999 and was recognized by the government in 2004 for its excellent education. The institute offers many courses in engineering, biotechnology, food processing, and agriculture. It began with 180 students and now has over 8,400 students and 450 teachers in 18 departments. Over the years, Karunya has focused on teaching, research, and helping the community, working on important problems like water, food, healthcare, and energy using science and technology.
