Karamat Husain Girls PG College, Admission: Karamat Husain Muslim Girls P.G. College was established to educate girls and support their overall development. It was founded by Justice Sayyed Karamat Hussain, who was inspired to promote women's education after noticing the gap between educated Muslim boys and uneducated Muslim girls. Despite initial resistance from the community, he started a girls' school in Lucknow in 1912 with just six students, aiming to make education accessible to girls from all backgrounds. Over time, the school grew steadily, becoming a high school in 1924, an inter college in 1936, and eventually a degree college in 1946. With strong leadership, it expanded further, offering postgraduate programs by 2000 and more courses like B.Sc., B.Ed., and B.Com. The college also excelled in sports, with its hockey team becoming the best in Uttar Pradesh and achieving national success, recognized as a Girls Hockey Teaching Centre by the Sports Authority of India.
