Jamia Hamdard Admission: On August 28, 1948, Hamdard, a business enterprise, was turned into a Wakf to promote Islamic teachings of charity, health, and education. In 1989, these efforts culminated in Jamia Hamdard being recognized as a "Deemed to be University," offering courses in Unani Medicine, Pharmacy, Information Technology, and more. Hakeem Abdul Hameed’s dedication to education and service earned him awards like the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, and Jamia Hamdard continues to grow as a leading institution for higher learning and research.
