Jamia Millia Islamia, Admission: Jamia Millia Islamia is a well-known university in New Delhi that was first established in 1920 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. It became a Central University in 1988 through an act of the Indian Parliament. In Urdu, "Jamia" means University and "Millia" means National. The university started as a small institution before India’s independence and grew step by step into a large university that now offers education from nursery to advanced research. Its journey is a story of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Sarojini Naidu, known as the Nightingale of India, once said that people built Jamia Millia "stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice.
