Institute of Life Science Admission: The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) was set up in 1989. It was created as an independent institute and was managed by the Government of Odisha. In 2002, the Department of Biotechnology, which is part of the Government of India, took control of the institute. In July 2003, the then Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, officially dedicated the institute to the nation.
