Indian Institutes of Technology Admission: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is one of India’s 23 IITs, which are top centers for education and research in science, engineering, and technology. Established in 1961 as the College of Engineering, it became an Institution of National Importance in 1963 and was renamed IIT Delhi. It has the status of a Deemed University, allowing it to set its own academic rules and award degrees.
