IISWBM Admission: The Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM) in Kolkata was established on April 25, 1953, by the University of Calcutta. Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, was its first President, and Prof. D.K. Sanyal was the first Director. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, laid the foundation stone, making it the country’s first institute to introduce management education.
