IGIDR Maharashtra Admission: The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR),established and funded by the Reserve Bank of India, is a research institute that studies development issues from various perspectives. Registered in 1986 and inaugurated in 1987, it became a Deemed University under the UGC Act. Starting as a research-only institution, IGIDR expanded to include teaching programs like a Ph.D. in 1990, an M.Phil in 1995, and an M.Sc. in 2003 to train students in economics, energy, and environmental policies. Today, it has around 188 members, including faculty, staff, and students, working together on research and learning.
