It focused on building community-based institutions, promoting women's leadership, and training for resource-based development. Over time, it introduced agro-based livelihood programs, promoted self-help groups and farmers’ cooperatives, and reduced middlemen’s influence. From 2007 onwards, it emphasized agribusiness, value addition, and digital communication to boost farmer knowledge and income. Since 2014, the focus has shifted to climate-resilient planning, high-value supply chains, disaster relief, and promoting climate-smart agriculture through technology and expert support.
