It is run by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and is linked to the University of Mumbai. The college was first suggested by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in 1935 and was supported by Sikh leaders to give good education and share Sikh culture in Mumbai. Located in a quiet but central part of the city, the college provides a peaceful place for students to learn and grow.
