Guwahati College of Architecture: Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning (GCAP) is the first architecture college in Assam and the North East Region. It was started to train skilled architects, designers, and planners to meet regional needs. The college has produced over 550 architects so far and takes pride in its 100% placement record. Students are working in top firms globally, in government departments, or have even started their own businesses. Recently, nine planning students were hired for roles like Urban Planner, and two others became Junior and Assistant Architects in GMDA, showing the high demand for architects in the region.

GCAP students also work on important real-world projects. For example, they helped restore the Silpukhuri and Dighalipukhuri water bodies under a government initiative and worked on rejuvenating Bahari Satra. Every year, they participate in national competitions like NASA and ZONASA, where they win awards, showcasing their skills and the quality of education at GCAP. These efforts highlight the college’s commitment to producing talented professionals ready to face global challenges.
