DRMGRDU Chennai Admission: The Tmt. Kannammal Educational Trust was set up in 1985 with the goal of creating positive change and progress through education. In the same year, they opened Thai Moogambigai Polytechnic College. Just three years later, in 1988, they started Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College. Then, in 1991, they added Thai Moogambigai Dental College. Both colleges were recognized as Deemed Universities in 2003 under the name Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. This recognition came from the University Grants Commission in New Delhi and the Ministry of Human Resources and Development of the Government of India.
