CSI BISHOP NEWBIGIN COLLEGE Admission: CSI Bishop Newbigin College of Education, started in September 2009 in Chennai, is one of the best teacher training colleges in India. It was named in honor of Bishop Lesslie Newbigin, who served in the Madras Diocese from 1965 to 1975. The college was founded by Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Devasahayam to prepare skilled and dedicated teachers. It began with 100 students, with Dr. Mrs. Kiruba Charles as the first principal, and offers courses in nine subjects including Tamil, English, Science, and Computer Science.
