Chinmaya Degree College Admission: Swami Jyothirmayananda, the former Chief Sevak of Delhi Chinmaya Sewa Trust, believed that true wisdom is knowing what might happen in the future. He played an important role in starting a Science Degree College in Haridwar when Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) requested help in 1987. Thanks to his and others' efforts, the college was approved by the Uttar Pradesh Government on 13th March 1989 and started receiving government support in 1994. Many people from BHEL helped in this mission, including Sri P.S. Gupta, Late Sri D.V. Bhatnagar, and Sri R.D. Shukla. The college’s foundation was laid on 16th May 1989, and it was officially opened by Chief Minister Sri Narayan Dutt Tiwari with Vedic prayers and blessings. Students began attending the college on 11th December 1989.
