BRD Medical College & Nehru Admission: B.R.D. Medical College in Gorakhpur was started on 8th November 1969 and named after Baba Raghav Das, a respected freedom fighter. It was built to provide better medical care in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. The first batch of 50 students joined in August 1972, and classes began at a temporary location while the main building was being built. In 1974, Nehru Hospital became the main hospital of the college, which now has over 800 beds and many departments to treat different health problems.
