In 1963, Belda College was founded in Belda, Paschim Medinipur. Belda College is a UGC-recognized institution and is accredited by NAAC with a "B" grade. The college provides a wide range of specialized B.Com, BA, B.Sc, B.Voc, MA, and M.Sc programmes. According to North Bengal government regulations, there is a reservation at the college.

For the 2024-24 Session, admission to all UG-level courses will be based on merit. In contrast, an entrance exam will be held to admit students to PG programmes. In order to fill the remaining 20% of seats for PG courses, there will be an open competition for Vidyasagar University students. The application process may begin in June 2024(Tentatively).

Belda College provides undergraduate and postgraduate-level courses in a range of academic fields, including arts, science, and commerce, as well as various practical courses. At the UG level, it also offers a BCA curriculum. Approximately 1000 students can enrol in the programmes each year, while the admission requirements vary from course to course.

Undergraduate applicants should use the college's official website online application form to submit their applications. The registration form for graduate students may be obtained from the college’s administration or downloaded from the college website. Candidates must have finished their 10+2 Higher Secondary education from a recognised board in order to be admitted to UG programmes and for Admissions to PG programmes must have a bachelor's degree.

Belda College UG Admission

Belda College provides students with various degree-level courses at the undergraduate level in the academic fields of the variety of courses. Such as arts, sciences, business, computer applications, and vocational topics. Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Philosophy, Sociology, Sanskrit, Santali, Education, Music and many more courses are among the disciplines available for BA General/Hons degrees. The college also offers Hindi and Physical Education as BA General electives.

Candidates may select from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Nutrition, and Computer Scientific while applying for science programmes (Hons./General). Under the Department of Science, a Physiology B.Sc General curriculum is also available. 

A passing grade in Higher Secondary Education 10+2 in any stream with a minimum cumulative score of 45% is the baseline requirement for admission to these programmes. Candidates with a 50% in the subject for which they are applying, but with an overall grade below 45%, are also eligible. Through a counselling procedure, applicants are chosen based on their final qualifying exam scores.

Visitors to the college's official website may access the online application form, which prospective applicants can complete. Only the bank challan payment method may be used to pay the application fee. The college presently doesn't accept any other methods of applying or paying fees.

Belda College PG Admission

For admission to PG programmes, Belda College only accepts application forms. students can obtain the application form from the college's official website or pick one up from candidates at the institution's office. Demand draughts or cash can be used to pay the application fee. Candidates applying under the open category are required to take the college-level entrance exam.

Regular postgraduate programmes in the fields of science and art are available at Belda College. There are Bengali and English concentrations available for the MA programme. Physics and Mathematics are among the topics included in the M.Sc curriculum. Graduation in the pertinent discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 40-45% is the baseline requirement for entrance to these programmes. For Belda College UG Application Process

• Candidates can fill out the online application form at beldacollege.org.in. For UG courses, only online application form filling is permitted (General/Hons).
• For a candidate's application to be considered, all required information must be included in the application form. The information provided on the application form needs to be accurate and unique to the applicant (details such as mobile number, address etc.).
• Only a bank challan may be used to pay the application fee. For UG courses, there is a 150 rupee per subject fee.
• Candidates must also include scanned copies of their passport-size photo, high school mark sheet, and caste certificate.

For Belda College PG Application Process

• On the specified dates, candidates may also download the application form from the college's official website.
• The application form must contain all necessary relevant information, filled out accurately.
• All relevant documents should be sent along with the completed application form and attested photocopies.
• A fee payment of Rs. 400 can be made at the time the application is submitted as the application form fee. Demand draughts are another option for candidates to pay the application fee.
• The demand draft needs to be made payable to "Belda College" and drawn in its favour.
• Admit cards will be provided to candidates for the entrance test. Candidates who get the required score goes into the open category for counselling.
