BCF College of Nursing, Kottayam, Admission: The college is run by Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation (BCF),a non-profit group started by Dr. Kumar Bahuleyan in 1993. Besides running a hospital and health center, the foundation’s main goal is to set up schools for medical, nursing, and paramedical education, especially to support women’s education and empowerment. Dr. Bahuleyan, a brain surgeon from the US who comes from this village, has donated all his earnings and wealth to help the foundation. The foundation’s board includes respected people from different fields who care about helping society.
