Bapujee College Odisha Admission: Angul is a district in the middle of Orissa with a rich history and spiritual traditions. Chhendipada, also called Uparbish, is an important area in Angul where many farmers and lower middle-class people live. Before 1976, there was no good college for higher education there. Thanks to the hard work of sage Balakrishna Pattnaik, a well-known social worker and politician, and support from local leaders like Late Balinkeswar Pradhan and others, Bapujee College was started in 1976. The famous poet Padmashree Radhamohan Garnaik helped build the college and named its campus "Saraswata Nagar," after Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. The college began with only 71 students and 5 teachers. Now, after more than 35 years, it has grown a lot, with over 1200 students and 25 regular teachers, plus others. The college owns 36 acres of land and offers courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational studies for both +2 and +3 levels. It also offers special honours courses in Arts and Science. Bapujee College has helped spread education not just in Angul but also in nearby districts. The college library has about 13,275 books and many journals to help students and teachers. With support from the University Grants Commission, the college has developed well. In 2007, after an inspection, the college was given a 'C++' grade by NAAC.
