akbar peerbhoy college commerce Admission: Anjuman-i-Islam's Akbar Peerbhoy College of Commerce & Economics was founded in 1969 by Anjuman-i-Islam, Mumbai, and renamed in 1975 to honor Mr. Akbar Peerbhoy, a respected lawyer and philanthropist. The college, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses like B.Com, BMS, B.Sc. IT, B.Sc. Computer Science, BMM, M.Com, and M.Sc. IT, along with certificate courses in Computer Programming and Business Management. It is also a Ph.D. Research Centre recognized by the University of Mumbai since 2014-15. Located near J.J. Hospital Junction and Grant Road Railway Station, the college focuses on developing students' skills in Commerce, Economics, Management, Mass Media, and IT, while promoting overall personality growth through various activities. Since 2004, it has been a center for the National Council for Promotion of Urdu and Arabic Languages under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
