Abdullah Women’s College Admission: Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was a great Muslim leader who wanted to improve the lives of Muslims in India. After the 1857 revolt, he believed that education was key for Muslims to get government jobs and take part in public life. With the help of Raja Jai Kishan, he started schools in Moradabad and Ghazipur, and later worked to create a university. When the British stopped using Persian in government work and courts, many Muslims were worried. Sir Syed felt they should learn English and Western science to stay strong in society. He also formed the Scientific Society in Aligarh in 1864 to translate Western books into Indian languages and promote scientific thinking. In 1870, he started a journal called *Tehzibul Akhlaq* to share ideas about education and social reform.
