SKUAST Admission 2024: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Srinagar- Jammu (SKUAST-Srinagar) came into existence on 20th September 1999 following the amendment in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Act, 1982, through the State Legislature.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science & Technology is located in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, and was established in 1982. SKUAST offers various courses Undergraduate and Postgraduate and the university also provides a Ph.D. program with five different specializations.

At UG level, the college offers courses like Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H),Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech),whereas, at PG level, the college offers M.Sc (Master of Science),MFC (Master of Fisheries Science),M.V.Sc (Master of Veterinary Sciences) and M.Tech (Master of Technology) to the applicants.

SKUAST Admission to all the courses is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test conducted by the university, known as the SKUAST Entrance Test (UET-2016),for admission all of the candidates interested in the courses above. For P.Hd Courses, The candidate needs to appear in a written test. An application form is available on the official website of University.

SKUAST Main Features

• SKUAST Training & Placement Cell has been created for the overall development of the students by creating opportunities for them to interact with experts in different fields.
• The University provides Guest Houses which is located at Railhead Complex, Jammu and approx 500 meters away from the Jammu Railway Station.
• SKUAST provides the Conference Halls at Chatham Campus, Central Library Chatha and R.S.Pura Campus with all modern facilities.
• The University has an auditorium with a capacity of 913 people at a time with equipped green room for male and female participants.

SKUAST Scholarship

SKUAST provides the MOMA scholarship which is funded by the central government of India under the minority affairs section of the center. The University provides a scholarship for class topper students as well as getting the merit in the qualifying exam by govt of Karnataka. SKUAST is also offering an education loan for students.
