This university situated in Madhya Pradesh and it was set up in 1964. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is a distance-learning college. Twenty-seven Schools/Institutes of the University provide teaching on the Takshshila campus to 10,500 students and to nearly 1,000 students through distance education mode.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya campus spreads over the 760 acres area. The campus of the University divided into the three campuses- Takshila Parisar campus which is spread over in 510 acres, Avanti Parisar which is spread over in 154 acres, and Nalanda Parisar which is spread over in 100 acres. Devi Ahilya University has 9000 students on its campus.

DAVV Scholarship

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya provides scholarships to merit students and sports students. A merit scholarship is provided to those students who scored in the last qualifying exam. Sports scholarship provides to those students who are members of the sports team. Colleges provide scholarships to those students who do not appear the higher education.  The scholarship is provided according to the score of the student and their income certificate. A loan facility is provided for every student can take an education loan. Students who pass the JUN entrance test will get the scholarship benefit.
