WBSU Application Form 2023: WBSU will be releasing the application forms soon for the year 2023, as online or offline modes will be provided by the University to facilitate students. West Bengal State University accepts applications from students in order to accept their admissions after releasing the notification for most of the top study courses including B.P.Ed, BSc, BA-LLB, BBA, B.Mus, B.Com (Hons),B.Ed, B.Com, BA, MRS, M.Com, MSc, and MA.

Admissions are also accepted here for the M.Phil and PhD degree courses at the research level. For all the courses offered by WBSU, the application fee can be paid by using debit/credit cards, online net banking, and other available methods. WBSU Application Form 2023 Fee 

West Bengal State University provides merit-based admissions for the UG and PG courses whereas PhD applications are accepted after the entrance exam. Around INR 300 is the application fee for general and INR 150 for SC/ST candidates. Whereas the application fee for PG courses is INR 400 and INR 200 for general and reserved candidates respectively. For PhD applications, the candidates will have to pay INR 1000 in the general category and INR 500 in the reserved category.

WBSU will accept applications for numerous courses either in online or offline mode. Those candidates who are not near the University will have to complete the process through the website of WBSU. All those candidates applying through the physical mode easily reach the University campus and they will fill out the form in hard copies and fill it as per provided details. The forms will be submitted at the main campus admin office.

WBSU Application Form: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria must be read by the candidates before applying to any degree program and then they will have to appear in the admission process. Applications will only be accepted by students who will be eligible for the courses. In order to appear in the Entrance Exam the procedure will be followed similarly as in the case of merit-based courses.

WBSU UG Courses Application Form: 

B.P.Ed, BSc, BA-LLB, BBA, B.Mus, B.Com (Hons),B.Ed, B.Com, and BA are the degree programs that are rendered by WBSU. Candidates who wish to pursue any one degree from these courses will have to accomplish the minimum 10+2 qualification. The previous academic study must be verified and the score of candidates will also be considered in merit.

B.Com: Bachelor of Commerce is a 3 yearlong study program at the UG level that is designed for candidates who complete their qualification up to intermediate from any recognized institute and must have secured a minimum average score. The University does not conduct any entrance exam for selection in this B.Com degree.

WBSU PG Courses Application Form: 

Some of the top PG courses offered by WBSU are MA, MRS, M.Com, and MSc. The eligibility of candidates for the PG courses is dependent on the score of the last qualifying exam of the UG degree. The student’s previous qualification must be relevant and recognized. There is no entrance exam-based selection for any of the PG courses.

MA:  Masters of Arts is a postgraduate degree that can be pursued by candidates who have completed a UG qualification by having a BA degree in the relevant stream and should be recognized. Students’ marks in the last qualifying exam will be base for selection for this BA degree.

PhD Courses: For becoming eligible for the PhD degree courses offered by WBSU, a student needs to qualify for the Research Entrance Test (RET) that will be taken at the university. The GATE/ SET/ UGC-NET qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing in the University entrance exam. Apart from the entrance exam score, students' selection is partly based on their score that has been secured in the master’s degree. Students can choose a variety of disciplines and the final selection will be done after an interview.
