Jadavpur University Application Form: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must check the JU eligibility criteria for the course they wish to apply for, fill out the application form, and appear in the admission process of Jadavpur University. Admissions are merit-based or entrance based for some of the courses, but to appear for entrance, exam-based admissions students will fill out the application form as described with instructions.

Jadavpur University UG Courses Application Form: 

Candidates who wish to apply for any course at the UG level rendered by Jadavpur University will have to qualify equivalent to 10+2. The score of candidates in the last academic exam will also be considered along with the score of the entrance exam. Some of the top UG courses of JU are BE, B-Tech, B.Arch, BA, B.Pharma, etc.

B-Tech: Bachelor of Technology covers a minimum duration of 4 years. It is an undergraduate course for which the minimum required qualification is 12 standard with the PCM subject. Students will have to appear in the WBJEE entrance exam to be eligible for admission to B-Tech. The score of candidates in their last qualifying exam will also be considered. 

Jadavpur University PG Courses Application Form: 

MA, MCA, M.Arch, MSc, M-Tech, and M.Pharma are the postgraduate courses being taught at Jadavpur University. Admissions in these courses will be based on previous merit and entrance exam score. The previous merit of students will be based on their minimum average score within a UG degree.

MSc:  Masters of Science is a course for which the candidates should hold a BSc or equivalent degree. The minimum duration of this MSc course is two years having four semesters. This required degree must be verified, and the score of candidates in its last exam must be above the minimum. A University level entrance exam will also be necessary for candidates to qualify with a valid score.

Ph.D. Courses: For the candidates willing to be admitted to the JU Ph.D. program, passing a qualification of master’s level is mandatory from any recognized University. Students should have secured a minimum average score in the last examination. A research entrance exam will also be conducted by JU to enter students for Ph.D. Apart from the University entrance exam, candidates passing NET or SET will be accepted for admission, and they will not have to appear in the JU entrance exam. After qualifying for any of the entrance exams, the candidates are also called for an interview round.
