Doctor Of Philosophy (PhD) in Commerce admission 2021-22 is the highest degree in academics, and the duration is from 3 to 5 years depending upon the specialization. There is no age limit in PhD. After completing a PhD, the degree of Doctorate will be awarded to students. PhD course is available in two modes Regular and Part-Time. Those who have time then go for a regular job from University/College, but those who are working even after they want to do PhD with a job then choose Part-time PhD. Students should have a Masters degree with 55% marks. PhD students research the relevant subject in which they did their PhD. Subjects required in PhD Commerce are Commerce, Accountancy, Economics.

Popular colleges of PhD take an entrance exam followed by Group Discussion, and personal interview after that the merit is made based on obtained marks in post-graduation course. Finally, the list of selected candidates is available on the University/college official website, and students will get their seats in the college.

For admission in the PhD commerce course, the student should qualify for the National Eligibility Test (NET) for the Junior Research fellowship program such as UGC, NET, ICMR, JRF etc.
Some universities and colleges have different processes from NET.

Ph.D. in Commerce has the same criteria as for other Ph.D. is that the student must pass Masters Degree with 55% marks in M.com specialization in Accountancy, Master Of Philosophy or in MBA.
Eligibility Criteria and admission procedure depend upon the college's selection process.
Some institutes don't have percentage criteria to get admission in Ph.D.; they only want a Master's Degree completed from a recognized University/College, and there is no age bar.
