Surendranath College Scholarships

The West Bengal government grants scholarships under the Swami Vivekananda Merit Program. The candidate's yearly income should not be more than INR 2 LPA. A minimum grade of 75% is required in the 12th grade.

The West Bengal students who receive this Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship. The applicant needs to live in the state. SC/ST and OBC candidates alone are eligible for this scholarship.

One of the forerunners of India's movement for independence and self-government, Surendranath Banerjee, an excellent scholar, orator, and statesman, assumed control of the Presidency School in 1882. It changed its name to Presidency Institute in January 1884 and joined the University of Calcutta's Intermediate Standard.
