Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, a deemed university, was established by the government of India in 1989. The campus is situated on 448 acres in the Longowal, Sangrur district, Punjab, India. The motto of the University is "yogaḥ karmas kauśalam". It is a Public Type University. This University was established by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD),Govt. of India and Inauguration was on 20th December 1991.

Main Features

• In total there are especially 13 hostels on the campus having 3 are for girls and 10 boys hostels. There are no specific hostels for fees of the month, the adjustment of the fees of the semester in Rs. 26,000 for the essential UG programs.
• The quality of food is provided availability which is not on the campus having the cost of Rs. 5,000 PA.
• The quality of food is provided to the campus. Therefore in all hostels, the specific charges for every meal are Rs. 75 which is three times a meal is provided.
