Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, well known as Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV). This university is situated in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh imparting research, education, and activities of extension which are in the field of Allied sciences and agriculture.

• Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is offering three types of Bachelor's Degree programmes which are through B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.), B.Sc. (Ag.) and B.Sc. (Forestry).
• The Master's Degree programmes are getting availability in 13 subjects under the Faculty of Agriculture and in three subjects which comes under the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering.

Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, J.N. Tata Endowment awards providing one-time loan facilities which are given to the Indian nationals only which comes under the course of PhD/ Postgraduate/Postdoctoral studies/Research Fellowships in all fields which is not in respect to creed, gender, caste, and community.

The amount which is awarded to every scholar by the scholarship of loan determined based on ranges between Rs.1,00,000/- and Rs.10,00,000/-, norms laid down for the purpose. With selection and qualifying for scholars who are selected. A scholarship gift is of the maximum amount of Rs.7,50,000/- and granting the travel which is a maximum of Rs. 50, 000/-

• Brought hybrid rice revolution through the development of early maturing hybrid rice varieties JRH 4, JRH 5, JRH 8 and JRH 19. This has resulted to utilize rice fallow through the cultivation of chickpea during rabi season in the upland rice-growing area especially in the eastern part of the Madhya Pradesh.
• JG 74, JG 130, JAKI 9218, JG 16, JG 63, JG 36 have made diversification in the different part of the state.
• JG 14 as the first world heat-tolerant variety has been released.
• Introduction of Kabuli chickpea varieties (JGK-1 & JGK-5) led to the expansion of 15% area under bold seeded chickpea in the State.
• Soybean varieties developed by JNKVV covers 90% soybean acreage in the country.
• Recently released varieties JS 20-29, 20-34 and 20-69 are also becoming popular among the farmers of the state of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.
• JG 11 brought the chickpea revolution in southern states particularly Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
• The scented varieties of rice i.e. improved Chinnor and Jeera Shankar was developed and released for the exploitation of a niche market of scented rice in India and abroad.

Library: Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya library is well equipped having 5662 back volumes/periodicals, 9100 theses and 63840 books, consortium inclusive of 3951 (CERA) journals which are online, there are 100 CD/DVD with audio-visual material, digitization of theses, Installation of VSAT for ERNET connectivity with fine quality high speed and barcoding of the resources. The university has got the appreciation certificate in 2016 which has the strength of E-Granth at the country level.
