BHU PhD Admission 2024-25: Banaras Hindu University will soon start the PhD admission 2024-25 session. Admission is based on the Entrance exams like RET and NTA PhD. Earlier, BHU only considered RET scores for PhD, But from this year, the university will also taking the BHU PhD Admission 2024 through the NTA PhD test. BHU PhD Admission 2024-25 last date is 22 September 2024*. Students can register online at @bhu.ac.in with a registration fee of INR 800. BHU PhD Admission 2024 will soon announced by the university. Admission to the PhD programme offered by Banaras Hindu University is done based on the Research Entrance Test (RET) 2024 conducted by NTA. 22 September 2024* is the last date to apply for BHU PhD Admission 2024-25, and the eligible students will be able to register through the official website @bhu.ac.in. The university offers admission under two categories: RET 2024 and RET (Exempted) 2024. The RET 2024 method has three levels that the candidates have to go through for admission to the PhD programme. The RET (Exempted) 2024 method has a single level for admission, provided that the first two levels are fulfilled by the candidate.

Candidates are required to submit the online application form which is released by the National Testing Agency on their official website. Candidates who fail to submit the application form before the last date will not be able to appear for the entrance examination. The candidates must appear for the PhD entrance examination conducted for BHU PhD Admission 2024. This examination will help the institute to shortlist the top candidates who will be allowed admission to the research-level degree programme.

BHU PhD Admission 2024 Important Dates

BHU Integrated PhD-MPhil Admission 2024

Banaras Hindu University offers admission to the integrated PhD-MPhil, and MPhil degree programmes through a Research Entrance test. For the academic year 2024, the application form for RET is expected to be released on 01 September 2024 on the official portal of BHU. Once, BHU PhD forms are out students are required to fill them out before the deadline. BHU Integrated PhD-MPhil Admission 2024 last date to apply is 22 September 2024*.

Students who are willing to opt for BHU PhD Admission 2024 along with the M.Phil degree programme must register and appear for the RET Entrance Examination which is soon going to be conducted by the university. Candidates willing to opt for BHU PhD Admission 2024 with M.Phil programme should have completed their Masters Degree programme in a related field with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a UGC-approved institute.

BHU PhD Direct Admission 2024

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) also offers direct admission to the PhD and M.Phil degree programmes which are offered by the university. However, the candidates must fulfil several eligibility criteria for them to be considered for direct admission to the research programmes. The students who are offered BHU PhD Admission 2024 in the direct mode will not be required to appear for the Research Entrance Test (RET) 2024. These students will be offered admission on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examinations or other national-level entrance examinations for the research programmes.

A candidate who fulfils one of the following criteria may be considered for direct admission to the BHU PhD course.

• Candidates who have qualified for national-level tests like NET-JRF, GATE, SLET, and NET-LS.
• Candidates who are a recipient of National Doctoral Fellowship or other fellowships from government/semi-government organizations.
• A candidate who is selected under the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of AICTE.

BHU PhD Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Banaras Hindu University offers PhD Admission to only those students who fulfil certain criteria which are set by the university. Students failing to fulfil the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission to the PhD programme offered by BHU. BHU PhD Admission 2024 requires the candidates to fulfil the following criteria.

• Candidates should have completed their Master's Degree in the field in which they want to pursue the PhD programme.
• Candidates should have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates should have completed their Master's Degree from a UGC-approved institute.

BHU PhD Entrance Exam 2024-25

Banaras Hindu University will be offering admission to the PhD programme considering the marks scored by the candidates in the Research Entrance Test (RET) 2024. BHU PhD Admission will be done based on the NTA PhD entrance exam for the 2024-25 session, and the registration portal will be active soon. 22 September 2024 will be the last date to submit the BHU PhD entrance exam 2024-25. The entrance exam will be conducted from 26 October to 31 October 2024 by the National Test Agency. • The RET 2024 examination will have two components for the evaluation of the performance of the students.

• The minimum qualifying mark required to score in RET is 215 marks.
