AIPMT 2024: All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) was an entrance test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examinations (CBSE) for entry to various medical courses like MBBS and BDS. Since 2016, AIPMT has been replaced by NEET-UG which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). AIPMT registration is ongoing for the 2024-25 session, and the last date to apply is 09 March 2024. AIPMT which is known as NEET now exam will be conducted on 05 May 2024 by the National Test Agency.

What is AIPMT?

The full form of AIPMT is the All India Pre-Medical Test. This national-level entrance exam was regulated by CBSE. In 2016 the Educational Board of India changed its agency. Now NTA conducts the entrance exam. It also changed the entrance test name from AIPMT to NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The AIPMT test was conducted to select students for MBBS and BDS courses. Any student can appear only 3 times in the AIPMT (NEET) Entrance exam. Each year more than 15 lakhs appear in NEET-UG  AIPMT (NEET-UG).

How to apply to AIPMT 2024?

The AIPMT entrance exam name has been changed now. This entrance exam is known as NEET. It is conducted by and National Testing Agency (NTA). Students who wish to get enrol in MBBS OR BDS courses will have to pass this national-level entrance exam. The last date to fill NEET UG entrance exam form is May 2024. NTA has also announced the NEET UG entrance date.

Students can edit the information provided in the application form. However new applicants cannot fill out the online form as the due date has gone.

The candidate can apply for medical courses like MBBS and BDS. But for applying, the candidate firstly needs to fill out the entrance exam registration form before the due date. The important dates are always defined by the university-authorized person. 

AIPMT 2024 Application Form  (NEET-UG) submission date will July 2024 tentatively.

Register for the NEET UG Online Application Form and note down system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply the required details while filling out the Online Application Form and is also required to create a PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, an Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future reference/ correspondence. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to log in directly with the respective system-generated Application Number and created Password.

AIPMT 2024 Eligibility Criteria (NEET-UG) 

• Applicants must have completed 17 years of age before attending NEET UG 2024.  
• Candidates of Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indian students, Persons of Indian Origin, and Overseas Citizens of India, they all eligible according to the All India Quota seats( Under 15%).
• Students' age should not be more than 25 and reserved students have 5% relaxation.
• Students must be passed 12 standards in Physics, Chemistry Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually.
• Applicants who appear at graduation level and are qualified for a B.Sc degree are also eligible to apply.
• Students must aggregate 50%  marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.
• For SC/ST/OBC students must aggregate 40% marks to apply.
• Students who are in their Final years and qualifying for the exam are also eligible to apply.

AIPMT 2024 Exam Date 

AIPMT 2024 exam will be held in the month of December 2024. Candidates can start applying the application form in the first week of November 2024. The last date to apply the form will be 10 December 2024 (tentative). Students will have to fill out the examination form with the required details before the deadline. Also, applicants can download the admit card by visiting the student portal of the university.

AIPMT 2024 Examination Pattern 

• The mode of examination will be offline.
• Objective questions will be asked in the AIPMT 2024 exam paper.
• The total number of questions will be 180.
• An examination will be finished in 3 hours.
• Examination papers will be available in these languages Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, and Kannada.
• Every correct answer will consist of 4 marks.
• A negative marking will be there and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

AIPMT 2024 Result

NTA has released the NEET UG answer key, however, the final result will be released at the end of August. Students who have attended the NEET UG entrance exam will be able to take admitted to MBBS and BDS courses. There are many Government medical colleges that release the merit lists of selected students based on the NEET UG score.

Always the result will be displayed on the NEET official website. The candidate can take the printout of the result and merit list for future reference. The merit list is always prepared by the resulting authority. 

AIPMT 2024 Counselling Process

During the counselling, an applicant has to register for the counselling process. Students have to pay counselling fees. At the time of counselling registration, the applicant has to select courses as per their preferences.

The seat will be reserved for the applicant based on the rank list. After the announcement of the result, the exam authority will conduct the AIPMT 2024 counselling process.

The counselling process will be delivered via online mode. In the counselling process, there are 2 rounds of a 1-part group discussion and a 2-part personal interview.
