Admission for the undergraduate medical courses in the institutes like the BHU, AMU, DU, and many other central universities like the JIPMER and AIMS institutions will be conducted through the counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee(MCC). The MCC is the body that conducts the counseling for NEET for the 15% reserved seats of the state-run medical colleges. AMU has reserved a total of 50% seats for the students who studied from their schools. The rest, 50% of seats, are open for the students who have qualified for the NEET exam.

AIMS and JIPMER institutes use the NEET entrance exam test for UG admission, and MCC conducts the counseling for the 100% seats.
