For Research purposes, NIT Andhra Pradesh teams up with neighbouring universities

In a statement, NIT Andhra Pradesh said they would do a Joint venture with a group of state-run universities in the neighbourhood and have formed a "regional education cluster group" to promote research and development programs together. They will work on joint research, mentorship, cooperation, student and faculty exchange programs, joint academic programs, etc.

Some of the universities that are part of the joint venture are- 

Joining NIT Andhra Pradesh are Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU),Kakinada; Dr. Y.S.R. Horticulture University, Tadepalligudem; and Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry.

This decision was made on the recommendation of the AP Higher Education Planning Board. These groups will help and develop some areas such as academic programs, faculty exchange, student exchange, shared research projects, community service projects, sharing of infrastructural and research resources, among others.
