Colleges in Tamil Nadu are going to reopen on February 1

From the first day of February, colleges and universities in Tamil Nadu will reopen. In Tamil Nadu, schools will reopen for classes 1 through 12. In the meantime, the state government has announced on Thursday, January 27, that the playschool, LKG, and UKG will remain closed.

At the same time, the board exams for classes 10 and 12 will be conducted in the state in accordance with a schedule. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the school education minister, said that before the board exams, the first revision exams would be held in January, and the second revision exams would be held in March. The extra classes will likely be conducted a week ago as schools have closed due to heavy rainfall since November.

As of January 28, the state's government has lifted the night curfew. Restaurants, salons, cinemas, gyms, and yoga centers will remain subject to the 50 percent occupancy limitation currently in place.
