IIHM eCHAT 2024

IIHM eCHAT is an online national level exam that is held on by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM). The Electronic Common Hospitality Aptitude Test is held to offer admission to students in several hotel management programs offered by institutes across India.

• The application forms for Exams will be available for students in both online and offline mode. http://echat.elink.in/
• Interested candidates can either obtain the application forms via their official website or visit any IIHM campus and can collect it from there also.
• The application fee will be INR 600  is to be remitted to complete the application process for Entrance.
• To appear in Entrance, students must have cleared their 12th class exam with English as the core subject.
• There will be three rounds for admission – Entrance Test, Group Discussion and Interview.
• After clearing IIHM eCHAT 2024, students are further shortlisted for admissions it will depend on their performance in the group discussion and personal interview round.
• Students will receive their scorecard after 24 hours and then they will be called for the next stage of the admission process.

eCHAT Important Dates 

The Entrance Exam will be scheduled for 7 May 2024. Those students who are interested can apply for the test by visiting the official website. Various important dates for IIHM eCHAT have been tabulated below. Note that the date which is mentioned here is tentative and subject to change accordingly.

Eligibility Criteria For IIHM eCHAT 2024

Students are eligible to apply for IIHM eCHAT if they can fulfill all the conditions. The admission to the course is subject to fulfillment of these criteria so students need to read the points which mention are below carefully and should only apply for the course if they are eligible for it.

• Candidates should have cleared their intermediate or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• The qualifying exam should be passed with English as a core subject.
• The upper age limit is 22 years as of 2024.

eCHAT Application Form 2024

Registration Form: Provision to fill Application Form will be given in the first week of March 2024. Students can get their Application Forms either online or offline both modes are available. The details for online and offline registration for Exam are provided below-

Offline

Candidate can collect their application form as well as the prospectus for the Exam at any of the IIHM campuses and submit it (duly-filled) in person or by post at the respective college campus.

Students can also download IIHM eCHAT Application Form from the official website of the college, fill it, carefully then submit it at any one of the IIHM campuses. A fee can be remitted via cash or cheque or a demand draft of INR 600rs in favor of the International Institute of Hotel Management.

Online

Students can also apply online for the Entrance Exam via the official website. If a candidate fills Application Form in the online process, then the prospectus will be sent to their address via post. It should be noted that the online registration will be activated only after receipt of IIHM eCHAT 2024 fees made by the candidate in the online process.

Application Fee

Fees Details: The application fee can be pay by cash/cheque/demand draft (DD) at any of the IIHM campuses. In any case of DD, the payment via DD is to be made in favor of the “International Institute of Hotel Management” and should be payable at Delhi/Kolkata/Pune/Bangalore/Jaipur/Hyderabad/Ahmedabad these cities. The application fee is INR 600rs. This is the admission fee.

IIHM eCHAT 2024 Admit Card

About Hall Ticket: Admit Card will be sent by email to the students. Once they successfully submit their application form then they can download directly their Admit Card by following the steps given below:

• Go to the official website of IIHM.
• Click on the link to Admit Card.
• Enter the user ID and password.
• Submit the details.
• Print/download IIHM eCHAT Admit Card.

The admit card contains the following details:

• Name of candidate
• Roll number
• Address of allotted test center.
• The time slot of the Entrance Exam.

Students need to carry their admit cards positively at their allotted test center because any candidate who fails to carry their admit card will not be allowed to take the entrance test.

Exam Centers

The Entrance Exam will be held on across all Aptech Centers. The entire test will be conducted by selected Web stores, spread across various towns and cities in India.

You can choose your own nearest center and timings subject according to your availability at the time of filling the Application form of IIHM eCHAT.

Exam Pattern

Method Of Exam: It is an online entrance test that will be conducted in several towns as well as cities in India. Candidates will be allowed to pick any test center which is nearest to them. Apart from this, candidates are also given an option to select their own IIHM eCHAT suitable exam timings. 

Candidates should note that the selection of timings and test centers is subject to availability. If the particular center and timing are not available, candidates can be asked also to select another one. Students are tested on various grounds in the IIHM entrance exam.

The test paper for IIHM contains many several types of questions to test the aptitude as well as skills of aspirants also. Since it is a professional course, it becomes necessary that the candidates should be judged for their overall personality and not just their academic record. The IIHM eCHAT consists of various types of questions. Some of which are:

The Question Paper will be consist of questions related to topics like language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and interpretation, intelligence and critical reasoning, awareness of Indian and the Global Economy. There is a total of 45 questions in a given time duration of 1 hour ( 60 minutes).

IIHM eCHAT Result 2024

Information about the Score Card: Candidates will receive their scorecard for the exam 24 hours after taking the exam. After the exam has been conducted successfully, shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. 

After clearing the IIHM eCHAT entrance exam, candidates are further shortlisted for admissions based on their performance in the group discussion and personal interview round. IIHM eCHAT Merit List 2024

A final merit list is announced by IIHM based on consolidated scores from the exam, group discussion, an interview.

The merit list contains names and ranks of students who are eligible for getting admission to various IIHM campuses across the country. Students can check the merit list via the official website. It will be uploaded online a few days after the GD-PI process.it depends on their ranks then they will be called for counseling.

Counselling Process of IIHM eCHAT 2024

Counselling Procedure: The candidate who will clear the exam, group discussion, and interview for the admission process will be listed in the Merit List. The Merit List will be prepared depending on the marks scored by their ranks. Candidates will be called for counseling and seat allotment based on the Merit List. 

The counseling is tentatively scheduled for the last week of June/the first week of July 2024. IIHM eCHAT 2024 Counselling will be held on by the Indian Institute of Hotel Management for taking admissions in hotel management courses. The qualified candidates need to appear in person for counseling and will be required to produce the  documents for verification which is mention below:
