The Dental Council of India (DCI) was formed under the Dentists Act, 1948. The idea is to provide dental education throughout the country. The administration of the Dental Council of India is controlled by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 

The goals of the Dental Council of India (DCI) 

There are plenty of goals of the Dental Council of India (DCI). The motive is to manage the dental profession well. The idea is to familiarize the students with all aspects of dentistry. Roles of Dental Council of India (DCI)

The Dental Council of India (DCI) was established under the Dentists Act, 1948. It works towards delivering superior dental education and focuses on the zenith of the dentistry profession. The act was accepted and formed by the parliament in March 1949. The State Government, Central Government, Dental Colleges, Universities, etc. are the different electorate that the Dental Council of India (DCI) is formed of. The ex-office member is the director-general of health service that belongs to the executive committee and body general. Each member is elected from the council. The position of President, Vice-president, and ex-officio are allotted on the basis of the majority of the votes. The allowances are funded by the Council which is taken from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Dental Council of India (DCI) has taken various initiates to establish new dental colleges and look after the admission requirements in the concerned discipline.
