The Dibrugarh University gains ISO certification

The academic and administrative cycles of the Dibrugarh University, alongside its infrastructural arrangement, adjust to the standard set by ISO for its certificate, the authority said.

An official from the Dibrugarh University in Assam said that ISO certification had been received on Sunday. Two certificates, bearing registration numbers ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015, have been issued to the varsity by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
According to the official, Dibrugarh University's academic and administrative operations and its infrastructural setup meet ISO standards for certification. "We are overjoyed by the news. Our university has benefited much from ISO's recognition "LK Nath, vice-chancellor, stated.

According to Registrar Jiten Hazarika, the accreditation marks the university's presence in the international arena. In December, a team of ISO experts visited the university and surveyed its amenities and standards.

ISO certifies products, firms, and institutions, and the validity of its certification lasts for three years. Dibrugarh University must renew its validity annually, and the certificate will assist the institution in pursuing national accreditation.
