PhD scholars are invited by Periyar University for convocation

Periyar University has invited students for its 20th convocation for the PhD program on 06 December 2021. In the event organized by the university on 02 December 2021, the students were not invited, and many registered their disappointment for not sending the invitation. On the program held on 02 December 2021, the university invited only the students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, citing the reason for the pandemic.

The vice-chancellor of the Periyar University stated that “they are going to send the invitation to 565 PhD students to be a part of the convocation program going to be held in the university campus on 06 December 2021, in the program the degree of their course will be awarded to them as per the procedure.”
