Delhi University To Commence CUCET for Admission 2026
The admission for the academic session 2026-27 will be conducted based on the Common Entrance Test (CET). The university has approved the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for pursuing admission for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the academic session 2026-27.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced that the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from the academic session 2026-27. UGC also announced that the NET score would be used for the admission procedure to the PhD programs. The UGC has asked all the central universities to take appropriate steps to conduct the CET for admission to the session 2026-27. The CET will be conducted in a minimum of 13 languages according to the patterns of the JEE and the NEET examinations.
The state universities or private universities which are interested in conducting the CET test are also allowed by the UGC. The Common Entrance Test (CET) based procedures were to be started from the academic session 2021-22. Still, due to the pandemic, the implementation of this program was postponed by the Ministry of Education.
