Chhattisgarh bans offline classes in colleges and universities.

All first and third semester exams for the school year 2021-22 should be online or banned.Due to an increase in COVID-19 instances in Chhattisgarh, the state government banned offline classes in colleges and universities and implemented an attendance quota for academic and non-academic employees. The state's higher education department ordered all colleges to conduct first and second semesters exams online or in a hybrid (online+offline) format.

"Physical classes should be banned immediately in all public and private universities and colleges," the order stated. "Also, academic and non-academic personnel of colleges and universities should be instructed to attend work in one-third of their whole strength," he stated.

All first and third semesters exams for 2021-22 should be online or blended. The universities may provide comprehensive recommendations, he added. The state has already closed schools in districts with a COVID-19 infection rate of 4% or above. Schools in numerous districts, including Raipur, were closed due to the directive.

On Wednesday, Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 case count had risen to 10,38,060, including 13,627 deaths.
