University was established in 1971 and located in Coimbatore. Tamilnadu Agricultural University was recognized by the University Grant Commission. University has six Affiliated colleges and eleven component colleges. University provides the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to the youth generation. University also has a central library on the university campus for the students, faculties as well as the university other staff.
