UPSEE 2024: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and it will release UPSEE admit card 2024 in April. The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) for admissions to 44 B.Tech courses in around 261 engineering institutes across Uttar Pradesh.

The application form will be made available online from January and the last date to fill the form will be in March. The examination is scheduled to be held offline in April 2024.

Candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical vocational subjects are eligible to apply for UPSEE Entrance Exam. 

UPSEE 2024 

In the qualifying examination, candidates must have secured at least an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). As per the exam pattern, there will be 150 multiple choice questions of total of 600 marks covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology.

The duration of the exam is 3 hours and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. In 2018, around 1.50 lakh candidates registered for UPSEE in 41 cities of Uttar Pradesh and 8 cities outside the state. Eligibility Criteria

AKTU has defined certain eligibility criteria for UPSEE 2024 that every candidate must fulfill. Here are some of the UPSEE eligibility criteria for 2024.

• Academic qualification: Candidates must have qualified 10+2 level examination or any other equivalent examination with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional subjects out of Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Candidates opting for B.Tech Biotechnology should have studied either Maths or Biology and Physics as compulsory subjects
• Minimum qualifying score: Candidates must have secured at least 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates) in their 10+2 exam. It should be ensured that the applicant must have qualified 10+2 without grace.

How To Fill The Application Form?

The application form of UPSEE 2024 will be released by the conducting body in January. The UPSEE application could be filled online until March 2024. Candidates could make necessary changes in the application form until April  2024. To fill UPSEE application form 2024, candidates had to follow the below-mentioned steps in order:

Step 1: Filling up of application form: Enter personal details, educational details, course applied for, communication details, exam city options, community reservation details

Step 2: Uploading of images: Scanned photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression

Step 3: Application fees payment: The examination fee can be paid online through net banking, debit or credit card.

Step 4: Printing of application form: Download the confirmation page. The candidates need not send the confirmation page to the University. However, the registration number mentioned on it must be secured properly.

To complete the application process, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable application fee. Category wise application fee for UPSEE 2024 is provided in the table below.

UPSEE 2024 Reservation Of Seats 

Reservation of seats is based on the guidelines issued by the UP government. 15% of seats have been reserved by the state government for management quota and NRI candidates. The remaining 85% seats are filled with candidates who qualify for UPSEE 2024.

UPSEE 2024 will be conducted in 41 cities in Uttar Pradesh and 8 cities outside Uttar Pradesh. While filling UPSEE application form 2024, candidates had to select at least three preferences from the list of exam centers.

Syllabus 

The syllabus covers chapters from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology. The majority of the syllabus will be similar to the qualifying examination of class 12. In Physics, there are questions from Motion in one dimension, Gravitation, Heat, and Thermodynamics, etc.

Questions are asked from the Atomic structure, Polymers, Solid State, etc. in Chemistry. Questions in the Mathematics section are asked from Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, etc. whereas in Biology there are questions from Applied Biology, Animal Physiology, Botany, etc.

About The Admit Card 

The admit card has been made available online in April and can be downloaded by entering the application number and password. UPSEE admit card comprises application number, roll number, exam date, candidates name, name and address of exam center, and candidates passport size photograph. Candidates must carry an admit card to the exam center on the day of examination.

UPSEE 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

On the day of the exam, candidates must make sure to follow all the necessary rules. In accordance with the UPSEE exam guidelines, candidates must

• Carry their UPSEE 2024  admit card and a Blue/ Black ballpoint pen
• Candidates must reach at least an hour before the commencement of the exam
• Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, etc. are not allowed inside the exam center

Information Regarding The Answer Key

AKTU will release the answer key in April 2024 after the conclusion of the exam. The answer key will be available online as per the subject paper and set. Candidates will have to download it for their paper set and then match the answers. Candidates can also use the answer keys provided by various coaching institutes to predict their scores. However, the predicted score should not be taken as the final result.

UPSEE 2024 Result

The result of UPSEE 2024 will be announced online in the first week of June. The counseling of UPSEE will be based on the ranks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam. In case of any discrepancy, candidates can get their answer sheets scrutinized on payment of Rs. 5000 per paper within seven days of the declaration of result.

They will have to submit the application for scrutiny to the Registrar, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow (U.P.) 226021 in writing.

UPSEE Result 

Cutoff 

The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidate has to score to be eligible to secure admission in the various participating institutes of AKTU. The qualifying cut-off of UPSEE is 25% for Gen/OBC candidates and 20% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. UPSEE cutoff also provides the opening and closing ranks of various participating institutes.

Counseling Procedure

The counseling of UPSEE 2024 is likely to commence from the third week of June and ends in the second week of August. After the declaration of the UPSEE result 2024, candidates are required to register online for counseling and seat allotment. The counseling of UPSEE will be held in five rounds for candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam. After registration, candidates are required to pay the registration fees and fill their choices of courses and colleges.

Seat Allotment Of UPSEE 2024

UPSEE seat allotment 2024 will be done on the basis of the rank of candidates in the released rank list and his/her preference of college and course. Through the seat allotment process, candidates will be allotted seats in various undergraduate engineering courses and colleges in the state.

Candidates who have paid the registration fee and have locked their choices are required to get their documents verified. After the verification of documents, candidates will be allotted seats according to their preferences of courses and colleges.

Participating Institutes 

The participating institutes of UPSEE 2024 provide names of various undergraduate engineering colleges that grant admission to candidates on the basis of their performance in the exam.
